The Ford F-150 consistently leads its class, a testament to its versatility and wide array of options. The F-150’s engine lineup is equally diverse, ranging from an efficient V6 to a robust hybrid system, complemented by various cab and bed sizes. The 2024 model year brings the most extensive updates since the current generation’s introduction in 2021, promising to be a favorite among customers of the Star Valley Ford dealer.

The 2024 Ford F-150 is available in six main trims: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, Platinum, and King Ranch. Additionally, there are three trims designed for off-roading: Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R. An electric variant, the Ford F-150 Lightning, isn’t included in this review. The F-150 offers a choice of three cab styles — regular, SuperCab (extended), and SuperCrew (crew cab) — with three different bed sizes.

2024 Ford F-150

According to the Star Valley Ford dealership, the 2024 Ford F-150 is versatile, offering six powertrain options to meet a range of needs, all matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission. For those prioritizing efficiency and power, a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 delivers 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. A 5.0-liter V8 generates a robust 400 hp and 410 lb-ft. A turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 steps it up with 400 hp and 500 lb-ft, while the same engine, when tuned for the Raptor, boosts performance to 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. The Raptor R takes power to the extreme with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 unleashing 720 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, a hybrid system combines a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor and battery pack, producing a balanced 430 hp and 570 lb-ft.

2024 Ford F-150 XL

The base XL trim comes with 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, manually adjustable front seats, cloth upholstery, vinyl flooring, a class IV trailer hitch, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and USB ports.

The XL features several driver assist features, including forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane keeping assist, pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, driver attention monitoring, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.

2024 Ford F-150 STX

The STX starts with the features of the XL and adds 20-inch wheels and carpeting. It also opens the door to more available features.

2024 Ford F-150 XLT

The XLT adds to the XL trim with 18-inch wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, carpeted flooring, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a surround-view camera system. Also standard is Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which makes it easier to reverse with a trailer in tow.

2024 Ford F-150 Lariat

Move up to the Lariat trim, and you’ll get 20-inch wheels, ambient LED interior lighting, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, power-adjustable pedals, power-folding side mirrors, an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and a 90-day trial of Ford’s Blue Cruise system.

2024 Ford F-150 Platinum

The Platinum trim builds on the Lariat with exclusive exterior and interior accents, upgraded front seats, heated rear seats, a heated power-adjustable steering wheel, a tow/haul package, an integrated trailer brake controller, Pro Power Onboard, and household-style power outlets.

2024 Ford F-150 King Ranch

The King Ranch adds an adaptive suspension, massaging front seats, a two-panel sunroof, a head-up display, a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and a Mobile Office package with a folding work surface on the center console and a wireless charger.

2024 Ford F-150 Tremor

The Tremor comes as a crew cab with a 5.5-foot bed. It builds on the XLT with four-wheel drive, 18-inch alloy wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, selectable driving modes, a specially tuned off-road suspension, and a locking rear differential.

2024 Ford F-150 Raptor

The Raptor includes four-wheel drive with low-range gearing, 17-inch alloy wheels with 35-inch all-terrain tires, an exclusive off-road suspension with adaptive Fox shock absorbers, a unique grille and fender flares, and heavy-duty skid plates.

2024 Ford F-150 Raptor R

In addition to the 720-hp supercharged V8 engine, the Raptor R comes with 37-inch tires.
