Powering the Explorer Active trim is a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine developing 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission. According to the Show Low Ford dealership, tThe Active trim comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, heated power mirrors, wiper-activated LED headlights, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, one-touch up/down power front windows, rear privacy glass, and a power liftgate.

The cabin is outfitted with cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, a four-way power front passenger seat, a 35/30/35-split folding second-row bench, and 50/50 split fold-flat third-row seats. Other standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, a Class III hitch, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor takes the familiar midsize SUV platform and equips it for serious off-road work. It’s powered by the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. For those who need more muscle, the Tremor is the only off-road-focused trim that can be upgraded with the twin-turbo V6.

A unique chassis sets the Tremor apart from the other trims. The suspension sits an inch higher, with special springs, sway bars, and dampers tuned for rough off-road driving. A Torsen limited-slip differential improves traction, while skid plates protect vital components underneath. Off-road-oriented drive modes, hill-descent control, and all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels expand its capability when heading off the beaten path.

The Platinum trim elevates the Explorer with lavish amenities, offering an alternative for buyers seeking premium features without the cost of a luxury marque. The Platinum is powered by the standard turbo-four engine.

The Platinum adds the contents of the Active Comfort package to the features of the Active trim, along with many of the ST-Line’s available equipment. Other standard features include adaptive LED headlights, 20-inch Luster-Nickel painted alloy wheels, heated and ventilated massaging front seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs, leather and Miko microfiber inserts, a leather-wrapped power-adjustable heated steering wheel, and a twin-panel power moonroof. Satin finish accents on the grille, roof rack, and door handles round out the Platinum’s look.

Standard technology and convenience features include auto-folding power side mirrors with a driver’s side auto-dimming function, rain-sensing wipers, the Bang & Olufsen 14-speaker stereo system, second-row sun blinds, a 360-degree camera system, a 110-volt outlet, and a wireless charging pad.

Inside, the ST gets exclusive interior colors and materials.
